Uttar Pradesh -- Election heat has started in UP. While all the parties are preparing their weapons for the elections, CM Yogi Adityanath is pouring in interviews and advertisements worth crores of rupees to TV channels. While Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who is announcing that he will defeat the BJP, is focusing on party strength, Priyanka Gandhi is leading the Congress with the intention of making a small impact.
Priyanka Gandhi is referring to the victims of the BJP 's alleged involvement in the clashes during the local body elections. The Samajwadi Party defeated the BJP in the local body elections and won a majority of seats. However, Mayawati does not appear to be very active at the BSP ground level. But lately she has been in the news responding to a lot of issues over the years.
While surveys on local conditions suggest that the forthcoming elections will be between the BJP and the SP, it is clear that the influence of the BSP will be nominal, while the Congress is likely to be influential in some areas. UP people feel that the agricultural sector is becoming a problem with rising diesel and DAP costs. With this, the words of Akhilesh are being heard loudly on the ground.
