Kodandaram that compensation should be given to those farmers

The people of the catchment areas of the Kaleshwaram project are facing severe hardships due to the negligence of the government and the authorities. Farmers' lands in the catchment area are being eroded due to measures such as raising the flow at once and releasing the flood at once. The farmers are begging the government for help, saying that this is the situation every time.

Recently, TJS president Kodandaram responded to this. The project has been criticized for undermining farmers' harvest every year due to shortcomings in construction and water management practices. He said crop damage had occurred on 7,000 acres in three years and demanded drastic changes in water management. The government wants to find a permanent solution so that farmers do not lose their crops.
